Android: install the app

Download REALM Card (39 KB)

Version 0.1.4 · for Android 7 and newer with NFC.

  1. Open this page on your Android phone and tap Download REALM Card.
  2. Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then tap Install.
  3. Open REALM Card and sign in with your REALM work email (you get a 6-digit code by email).
  4. Turn on the NFC sharing switch. Make sure NFC is on in your phone settings.
  5. To share: unlock your phone and hold the back of it against the back of the other person's phone. Their phone opens your card. They don't need any app.

Google Play Protect may warn that the app is from an unknown developer, because it is installed from our site and not from the Play Store. Tap Install anyway.

iPhone

Apple does not let iPhones act as an NFC card, so on iPhone you share with the QR code, the Share link button or AirDrop.

  1. Open My Card in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. My Card now opens full screen, even offline.
  3. Show the QR to the other person, or tap Share link.

An iPhone (XS and newer) can still receive a card: hold it near an Android phone running REALM Card, or near a REALM NFC sticker.

Which phones can receive a tap?

iPhone XS and newer, and Android phones with NFC switched on. Every phone camera can scan the QR code.
